Re:Build

A conference for everyone building software today. AI is reshaping how we work and making us revisit our own craft. Join developers, engineers, architects, and technical leaders exploring what it means to build great software in the AI era.

5 & 6 May 2027Wednesday & Thursday
Business Design CentreLondon, UK

Why Re:Build

Nobody has all the answers. That's the point.

AI is changing how software gets built. Roles are blurring, careers less predictable and people are working it out as they go. Re:Build isn't another conference promising it has the answers. It's where the community works them out together. Bring what you're wrestling with. Leave with sharper ways to think about it.

"In a world that is artificially intelligent, how can you continue to be authentically human?"

What you'll take home

Come with questions. Leave with three things.

01

Something you can use

Ideas and techniques from people shipping right now, ready to use the moment you're back at work.

02

Confidence about what's next

Not predictions, just a clear view of how other practitioners are handling the change.

03

People in your corner

Connections that last well beyond the two days.

The threads running through it

The three content pillars we will be exploring.

Rather than making AI the whole story, Re:Build digs into the bigger shifts happening around it.

What we build

The technology.

Code, architecture, tools and the new practices emerging around AI.

How we build it

The way we work.

Processes, teams, collaboration and what happens when AI changes the way software gets made.

Who we become

The human bit.

Our roles, careers, identity, wellbeing and what it means to stay human in an AI-shaped industry.

Let's build it together.

A different kind of conference

Somewhere between a conference and an unconference.

You'll still hear brilliant people on stage, but your ticket gets you more than just a stack of presentations. As the day progresses, you can choose to move gradually from audience member to active participant.

Conference sessions

The talks you know, but with room to breathe: longer Q&A, and time to carry the conversation into the hallway before the next one starts.

Lean coffee

Table-led, no agenda set in advance. Raise the issue you're actually wrestling with and see who else pulls up a chair.

Goldfish bowl

An inner circle discusses, an outer circle listens and swaps in. Come with a question, suggestion, comment or answer worth putting in the middle.

The Conversation

Our take on the World Café, built for a room of 200 at a time. Each one opens with a short talk from the stage to frame the theme or question. Then the room turns to its tables, each hosted by an expert. People will move to a neighbouring table throughout the session, so you hear new perspectives. When the 90 minutes are up, the conversation continues in the breakout space while the next one begins.

Workshops & labs

Hands-on spaces to actually experiment and build, not just sit and watch. Smaller groups, real tools, and enough time to get properly stuck into something before the session ends. Please bring your own laptop.

The hallway track

The best part of any conference, but nerve-wracking to break into if you don't already know people. We're building in things like a buddy system to make sure everyone's actually invited in, especially if you're arriving alone or it's your first conf.

Schedule

Two days. Built differently.

A mix of talks, workshops and The Conversation, with plenty of room to follow the themes and questions that matter to you.

Please note this is a placeholder structure to show how the day might be shaped. The schedule will be updated when the sessions have been confirmed.

Sponsors

Sponsor the conversation, not the stage.

Re:Build puts your team in a room with engineers, architects, tech leads and engineering managers, and gives you a real conversation with them instead of a captive audience. Sales pitches stay off the main stage. Everything else is built for connection. Email Kim Fletcher at kim@rebuildcon.uk for the sponsor pack.

01 ·

Host the conversation

Every package includes a host seat at a table in The Conversation. Help drive and shape the conversation and hear directly what is working and what is not.

02 ·

Practitioners who come for practical thinking, not polite nodding. The feedback you get is honest.

03 ·

Leave with insight, not just leads
